The volume of the game audio captured in OBS Studio is inconsistent.
Setup:
Nintendo Switch → AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus → OBS Studio
Issue:
The game includes relatively loud commentary and quieter cheering music. When recording or streaming with OBS, the cheering music initially sounds normal, but sometimes becomes even quieter partway through. Its volume returns to normal when the next cheering song starts.
Comparison:
When recording with Windows Sound Recorder, the volume remains nearly constant.
OBS audio settings:
I capture only the game audio through the input labeled “Mic 3,” with all other audio inputs disabled. The volume for “Mic 3” is set to 400% to compensate for low input volume.
Which settings should I check, and what logs would you need to help identify the cause?
